Tuesday Bible Study

Our 10:00am Tuesday Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, September 9th.

This study includes a friendly group of people, and the group is open to anyone no matter how well you know scripture.

This Fall, we will be looking at The Story, by Max Lucado. The Story is a dynamic, powerful, and rewarding experience, helping people everywhere experience Scripture like never before. Carefully selected verses from the Bible are organized chronologically and written in the form of a novel from Genesis to Revelation, providing a wonderful way to engage the entire Bible!

Copies of this hard copy book are available from Beverly for the cost of $10.00.

Griefshare

We will be offering the 13-week series GriefShare beginning on Wednesday, September 10th from 10-11:30am.

GriefShare is a powerful ministry to help anyone who has suffered the death of a loved one.  If you, or someone you know is interested in taking part in this, please speak with Beverly.

WORSHIP

Central to everything we do is our worship of Jesus Christ as Lord. Our Sunday service is held each week at 10:00a.m. As we observe the liturgical church year, we hold special services during Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter.

SUNDAY MORNINGS AT A GLANCE

Our worship service begins at 10:00a.m. During the early part of our Gathering Hymns, children  are invited to attend Sunday School. Here they will have Bible stories, crafts, and worship time. Following the worship service, we have a time of fellowship in the vestry.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Christian Education is a life-long endeavor. We offer a Sunday School program and mid-week Bible study on Tuesday mornings. Our well-maintained and up to date Church Library is an important resource for learning and is located off of the church vestry, our large gathering space.

FELLOWSHIP

Because we all need the encouragement of fellowship with other Christians, our church is strengthened by a variety of groups available to parishioners.

MISSION

We believe that the Great Commission means the "Church exists for mission, as fire exists by burning"! Therefore, we are committed to making a meaningful difference locally and globally. We share in our American Baptist witness around the world as throughout the nation. Locally, we help stock and administer the local food pantry, provide Little Folk Nursery School, a monthly food distribution, and American Red Cross Blood Drives.

WE HAVE MANY MINISTERS

Parishioners are encouraged to realize the important role they have in the life and mission of our church. Laity and clergy, men and women, share in full partnership in the ministry entrusted to us by our Lord. We believe every Christian has been gifted by the Holy Spirit for the work of ministry in some manner.

PASTORAL CARE

Our church staff is here to be of service and is committed to being ministers of the grace of God. Our Pastor and our Deacons are ready to assist you.

CHRISTIAN UNITY

We believe that while we may have strong preference for our Baptist traditions and theology, there is plenty of common ground upon which we stand united with Christians of other denominations. Unity does not demand uniformity nor does diversity mandate divisiveness.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

We believe every Christian is a steward of that which God has blessed them with, including their income. The stewardship of our money is not merely an obligation to fill, ("it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy" 1 Cor.4:2), but an opportunity to express our gratitude for the gifts of God, most especially the "inexpressible gift" of Jesus Christ. The true spirit of giving is found in generosity and gladness. Therefore, the church supports its ministries through individual pledges, spiritual gifts, bequests, and special fund-raising projects.

ADMINISTRATION

A variety of Boards and Committees, comprised of members of the church, are actively engaged in coordinating and conducting our many and varied ministries. Having a democratic congregational policy, every member is entitled to a vote. Our church work  is led by our Boards composed of Mission Board, Deacon Board, Christian Education Board, and Trustee Board
